Category: Loss

Oh

how I feel
your pain,
through so
many miles,
penetrating
my core,
pain, so
deep
shatters
mountains,
uproots
trees,
and
brings
me,
your
dear friend,
to
my
knees.

Companions lost
through so many
years, take heart,
in this, the shedding
of your tears, each
drop that falls,
testifies of love;
when darkness
calls, from above;
of memories
sown, joyous
and resplendent;
of those, we
held dear,
forever,
in remembrance…

Hunter for blog

Was it you

crying out,
in ebony,
silence, on
the line,
an intake
of breath,
sharp,
stolen-
with a
click?

I wrote

you a poem.
An ode to
times betwixt
joy and
pain.
The words
delicious,
teasing
eyes,
promising-
spoken,
an angelic
chorus,
tickling-
celebrating,
with
exquisite
anguish,
abundant
life-
lost.
