It’s
the thoughts,
they keep streaming
like when I’m dreaming,
patterns of things to come,
glowing, jubilant
chorus of trees, singing-
mountains wailing,
thunder, in
the bed. Flying
this kite, attracting
rainbows and light-
troubles ahead,
reel them
in, these
fish, I’ve
caught, collect
them all,
with
just,
a
jot-
Then,
letting them
go,
poooof,
they melt,
just
like
snow.

Was it you

crying out,
in ebony,
silence, on
the line,
an intake
of breath,
sharp,
stolen-
with a
click?

Shadow People

stalk city
streets,
mumbling-
cruising cubicle
corridors,
answering
phones-
greeting
each other
with rusted,
pitted words-
broken
platitudes,
oblivious
groans, they
utter, to
each other.
A pantomime,
of being.

Shredded buttercups,
kisses in the w i n d,
twilight yearning,
sprinkling cherries,
discarded reflected,
glancing in time.

foamy sea breezes,
grass is
                         green
on my dimpled
highway-
icy,
                        slippery
when
wet-

dusky days,
paperback sheets
                                     tattered-
ionized-
                             rusted to blink,
tottering
                   without
teeter,
Z
                   without
B.

                                   shade
                   missing,
empty cans,
    and
         the
                   thoughts
                              go
                                     marching
                                                        on...
